A gift exchange for eldest daughters
Finally, it's your turn.
You remember everyone's birthday. You organise the get-togethers and check everyone got home safe. This Christmas, another eldest daughter somewhere in the world will be thinking of you.
Dear Eldest Daughter,
You've been the one who holds it all together for a long time. The one who plans, remembers, and makes sure nobody is left out.
You don't have to hold it all. Here, someone holds a little something for you.
With love, from one eldest daughter to another

How it works
Give one. Get one.
Each exchange, members are placed in a giving ring. You send a gift to one eldest daughter, and a different one sends a gift to you. Nobody keeps score, and everybody receives.
-
Step one
Pick your tier
Choose the spend that feels right for you this time. Every tier is a real gift.
-
Step two
Choose how far it travels
Be paired with someone close to home, or with an eldest daughter around the world.
-
Step three
Give, then receive
Send something thoughtful to your giftee. Then wait for the knock at the door that's just for you.
Your choice
Close to home, or around the world?
When you join, you decide how far your gift goes.
Close to home
Be paired with an eldest daughter in or near your own country. Postage is simpler, parcels usually arrive sooner, and there's something lovely about a gift from just down the road.
Around the world
Be paired with an eldest daughter in another country. It's a chance to send a little piece of where you live, and to open a little piece of somewhere new.
The four tiers
There's no small option here
You give within your tier, and you receive from someone in the same tier. Postage is on top of the spend.
It's the thought that counts
Little to no spend
Handmade, home-baked, written from the heart.
A little something
US$15–35
A small, thoughtful treat she'd never buy for herself.
You deserve it
US$35–65
A proper spoil, chosen with real care.
Because I can, and you're worth it
US$65+
For the times you feel like going all out.
Spend guides are in US dollars. Roughly the same in your own currency is perfect.
Joining
Chip in if you can
- Everyone gets the same exchange, whether they chip in or not.
- Chip-ins cover the cost of running the exchange and top up the Angel Gift fund, so nobody is ever left without a gift.
Any amount, or nothing at all. It's entirely up to you.
Angel Gifts
A little extra kindness
The Angel Gift fund makes sure every member receives, even if a parcel goes missing. It also sends a little something to members going through a hard time, and to eldest daughters outside the exchange who deserve to be looked after for once.
Sign-ups close 14 November
The Dear Eldest Daughter Secret Santa
Matches go out on 18 November. Post by 5 December if your gift is going overseas, or by 12 December if it's staying in the country.
